The process involves crushing wet leaves, flowers, and fruit into a pulp, mixing with vegetable oil, sun-drying, and fermenting for weeks, creating products like gels, oils, and bath oils. These plants also have medicinal uses, treating cuts, bruises, and other wounds.

In your garden, ensure jade plants receive ample sunlight. In warmer, humid climates, spacing them 36 inches apart allows for proper air circulation. They prefer well-drained soil, so plant them in such conditions, and mulch with an inch of compost to enrich the soil and retain moisture.

When planting, water the jade plants to eliminate air pockets around the roots. For the first three months, water them weekly to encourage flowering, then reduce to once every three weeks. In spring, apply a general-purpose fertilizer.

For freshly picked berries, remove any foliage that will be submerged in water to keep them fresh. Change the water every few days, and avoid placing them in cold drafts or direct light. Properly cared for, jade eyes can stay vibrant for at least two weeks, making them a perfect choice for birthdays and celebrations.
